Once your dental hygienist has finished with your teeth cleaning, Dr. Bruno will come in to perform a comprehensive dental exam. This is when we assess whether there are any signs of oral health problems. We’ll look for cavities as well as swelling, redness, or deep pockets in your gums, which can indicate periodontal disease. We’ll also check how your upper and lower teeth fit together as this can affect the way you chew.

Another important part of a comprehensive dental exam is the oral cancer check. We’ll take a look at your tongue, the inside of your cheeks, the roof and floor of your mouth, and your neck to see if there are any abnormalities that may signal oral cancer. Early detection means increasing your chances of successful treatment!
